New! - Educational Riding and Packing Classes

No one is ever "done" learning. We have spent the past 15 seasons riding and packing in Yellowstone’s backcountry and just when we think that we have seen or experienced everything, something new happens or needs to be addressed. Whether it is horseback riding, camp set-up or packing; there is always something to be learned that will make your backcountry experience better. We have been receiving feedback from guests and backcountry personnel to go one step farther in providing educational based classes. In the past, we provided educational based day rides and pack trips for the Yellowstone Institute, with great success. So, we are going to offer to a limited number of individuals (10), this exclusive two day class. Course will include: Horse riding policy in Yellowstone, Equipment for riding and packing, Basic riding techniques, Basic packing techniques and camp set-up for low impact. This class is an introduction to the “hands-on” techniques that will help you (and your horse) to be a better backcountry rider and camper.
